There is a Special Election to fill a vacant seat in Lewiston. Right now, the balance in the State House in Augusta is 74 Democrats – 72 Republicans – 3 Independents. To say that the balance of power in the House Chamber is close is an understatement. With every bill so close, the policy that we all care about is one line – protecting working families from Republican attempts to roll back minimum wage increases, feeding our students school breakfast and lunch, and to pass a number of bills that honestly get at the root causes of the cost of living.
Scott Harriman is running for State House in District 94 for the Special Election on February 24th. This is an absolutely crucial seat to maintaining our majority in the State House and making sure that Maine is protected from the regime in Washington at every possible level. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. We need support of all types to make sure that we win this election in just a couple of weeks. We need donations, time, and energy to beat a challenging MAGA-aligned candidate that would hamstring the state party’s efforts in Augusta.
We are asking for you all to amplify this message to your volunteers and activists for donations and volunteer opportunities.
Scott is running traditional. He can take donations up to $500 here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/scott-harriman-1
