Thanks to everyone who came out on a blazingly hot summer night to celebrate with your fellow Androscoggin County Dems. We had a huge turnout who came to share pizza, beer, wine, and sandwiches and to listen to local band Pocketfull of Mumbles. The highlight of the evening was hearing candidates for Maine House and Senate speak – these candidates are passionate, determined, and ready to serve.
We also were delighted that Matt Dunlap came to our event and spoke with the crowd – he got everyone fired up and we know he is going to defeat Paul LePage to serve as our next representative for Congressional District 2.
The silent auction raised money that we will spend on helping Androscoggin County candidates get elected. Come to our September 3 meeting to vote on how we will share the funds.
Thank you to Amy Smith for lending us the use of the iconic Red Shop on Simard-Payne Park for our meeting. Thank you to Pocketfull of Mumbles for donating your time and entertaining the crowd. Thank you to the Lewiston Democrats for co-hosting the event with us. And thank you to everyone who showed up early to help set up and stayed late to help clean up. We couldn’t have done it without you!
