DESCRIPTION:What is a Primary Election?\nA Primary Election is used when mo
 re than 1 candidate is running for the same elected position\, within the 
 same political party. The winner of the primary election\, for each party\
 , will appear on the November ballot for that position. This is phase 1 in
  determining who will represent you for each position.\n\nWho can particip
 ate in this type of election?\nAny registered voter that is enrolled with 
 either the Democratic or Republican parties. Additionally\, registered vot
 ers that are unenrolled are also eligible to vote on this day.\n\nIf you a
 re currently enrolled as Green Independent or Libertarian\, you can still 
 participate\, but must change your party affiliation before 5/24/26 (15 da
 ys before the election is held).\n\nWhat if I am not currently registered 
 to vote?\nAny individual that wants to register to vote\, may do so on the
  day of the election\, at your voting site. You will need to provide proof
  of citizenship\, proof of residence (in the municipality you are attempti
 ng to vote)\, and you must be 18+ years old\n\nFor Primary Elections\, 17 
 year olds may register &amp\;amp\; vote\, if they will turn 18 before the 
 November 3 rd\n\nElection Date\n\nI’m not available on June 9 th ! What 
 can I do? Absentee ballots can be requested from your town office\, NO LAT
 ER THAN JUNE 4 th. These must be received back BY 8 PM on ELECTION DAY (Ju
 ne 9 th )\n\nWhat is Rank Choice Voting?\n- Allows the voter to rank each 
 of the candidates from their favorite (1 st ) to least favorite\n- Voters 
 are encouraged to rank each candidate differently\, to maximize the effect
 iveness of this\nelection style\n- Marking only your favorite candidate as
  1 st and leaving others blank essentially gives you 1\nvote\n- Marking yo
 ur favorite candidate as 1 st \, 2 nd \, 3 rd \, 4 th \, etc. also gives y
 ou only 1 vote\n- If you rank each candidate differently\, your preference
  will affect each round of tallies until a\nwinner is determined\n\nFor mo
